Project Overview:
Every year, Skills Canada NB hosts its provincial competition, bringing together students from across the province to showcase their talents in trades and technology. They needed a way to capture the energy and impact of the event while also creating a library of authentic visuals for year-round use.
Challenge:
The event spans multiple days and dozens of competitions, with hundreds of students and industry partners involved. The challenge was two-fold: capture the scale and excitement of the competition in a polished recap video, and provide reusable on-location content that could fuel Skills Canada’s ongoing communications.
Our Approach:

Deployed a full production team to cover live action, interviews, and atmosphere across multiple sites.

Coordinated with Skills Canada staff to prioritize key competitions, sponsors, and moments.

Designed storyboards and shot lists to balance cinematic quality with agility on the ground.

Delivered a dynamic recap video alongside a library of high-quality visuals for web, social, and campaigns.
Outcome:
The recap video became a cornerstone asset for Skills Canada NB, used in stakeholder presentations, funding discussions, and recruitment initiatives. The additional on-location content provided a versatile bank of authentic visuals that strengthened Skills Canada’s brand presence across platforms. Together, these assets continue to amplify the organization’s reach, highlight student achievement, and inspire future competitors.
